Senior Accountant
Our client is a new European Shared Service center, operating in several markets. To build the company’s structure, we are looking for an ambitious and responsible Senior Accountant to transfer their experience to the organization. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records of our organization. You will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
What you’ll do as a Senior Accountant:
- Lead the preparation and review of financial statements following IFRS.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes following IFRS standards;
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies on time;
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities;
- Develop and implement accounting procedures to improve efficiency and compliance;
- Coordinate with external auditors during IFRS audits.
We would need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within an IFRS framework;
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in IFRS reporting;
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) with a focus on IFRS reporting;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes;
- Fluent in English – proficiency level (C1).
